The reference price for your song(s) is used by our pricing algorithm to calculate tailored license fees for an array of different media types and use-cases. 📺

Here’s how it works:

  1. Set Your Reference Price 💡
This price is based on an Online Advertisement, airing Worldwide for a period of 12 months.

  2. Explore Custom Pricing 🔍
Once entered, you’ll unlock a detailed breakdown of project and media types, each with a freshly calculated price tailored to that specific use case.

Here are some examples

Reference price: €1000

Reference price: €10,000

Reference price: €50,000

Important to consider when setting your reference price ❗️

The MAIA Universe Reference Price guides our algorithm and reflects 100% of a songs total sync value, covering both master and publishing rights equally.

For example:

Rights owners must agree on the reference price before the track can be published live to the platform and begin to be licensed. If one party (such as a record label) sets a higher price, it overrides the other parties previous price (such as a publisher) on an MFN basis.

Remember! Regardless of how much of a track you control - you should set the reference price as 100% of the sync value (i.e. 100% of publishing + 100% of master)
