When you license music for online or social media through MAIA Universe, our music team will ensure your social media accounts or videos are whitelisted.

For Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok

  • Share Your Account Links: To ensure your content is correctly identified, provide us with direct links to the Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok profiles where you'll be using the music.

  • Contact us after buying the licenses: Send these links to our music team from the project page footer.

For YouTube

When you upload your video to YouTube, the Content ID system scans it for music.

YouTube's Content ID system is in place to protect copyright holders, and you might see a "Potential Claim" when you first upload a video containing music. However, this is a standard part of the process.

  • Share Video Links: For YouTube, we need the specific links to the videos that will feature the licensed music.

  • Set Videos to 'Unlisted': Set your YouTube videos to the 'Unlisted' privacy setting. This allows us to review them without them being publicly visible until any potential claims are resolved.

  • Add Links on Your Project Page: Just like with other platforms, send these links to our music team from the project page footer.

What Happens Next?

  • Quick Claim Clearance: We work hard to clear any copyright claims as soon as you've licensed a song and provided the necessary social media links.

  • Allow Time for Review: While we aim for a quick turnaround, allow some time for our team to review the information.

  • We'll Keep You Updated: We'll send you a notification once your content has been successfully whitelisted and any claims have been cleared.

Get Ahead of the Weekend: Pre-Submit Your Weekend Uploads

Planning to upload a video over the weekend? To ensure a smooth and claim-free upload, send us the video link before Friday whenever possible. This allows our team to proactively clear any potential claims before your scheduled upload time.

What If a Claim Isn’t Removed?

Occasional technical errors or incorrect third-party claims can occur. If a claim persists on your video, contact us directly at [email protected].
